Budapest is an amazing city and we had an opinionated local guide – which was actually interesting. He is a former teacher so well informed. Here is the video of my pictures.

We had a good walking tour of Vienna, but one day is not enough. We did go to a small opera in the evening which was really good.

Durnstein is a charming little town in the Wachau Region of Southern Austria. It is infamous because Richard the Lion Heart was imprisoned in the fortress on the hill, and the famous Schmidl roll (official if is has the S on the bottom) was created there, and it has a bone cemetary.

Going to Český Krumlov is like stepping back into a fairytale! It is a lovely little town with gorgeous hand made fabric, puppets, wooden toys, ceramic pottery and more.

There was marathon going on in Linz but we still got to see the city which was named Europe’s culture capital in 2009. It is most famous for 2 things: 1) Music: Mozart composed his “Linz” symphony here and Beethoven composed his 8th Symphony. (I think Mozart named his better!) 2) The Linzer Torte which…
