We had a good walking tour of Vienna, but one day is not enough. We did go to a small opera in the evening which was really good.

Melk Abbey & Durnstein
Durnstein is a charming little town in the Wachau Region of Southern Austria. It is infamous because Richard the Lion Heart was imprisoned in the fortress on the hill, and the famous Schmidl roll (official if is has the S on the bottom) was created there, and it has a bone cemetary.

Going to Český Krumlov is like stepping back into a fairytale! It is a lovely little town with gorgeous hand made fabric, puppets, wooden toys, ceramic pottery and more.

Enchanting Passau Germany
I don’t know if it was Passau itself, or the guide who was fabulous (and spoiled us so the others didn’t seem so great), or something else, but Passau was enchanting.
